Country music superstar Dolly Parton is extending her involvement in the beauty business.
Following her perfume launch in 2021, 78-year-old Parton has now revealed she has created a brand called Dolly Beauty.
The first launch? Four lipsticks fittingly-bedazzled with sparkling rhinestone packaging.
Each of the Dolly Beauty Heaven’s Kiss lipsticks are named after Parton’s famous songs: Jolene Red, Honey Plum, Rosebud and Birthday Suit, in shades of red, plum, pink and a neutral-tone nude.
The singer revealed the new brand in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, saying she first started creating her own makeup as a child.
“I’ve wanted to be pretty my whole life like most girls, especially country girls that have a dream of glamour,” Parton shared. “I started creating my own little makeup things at home when I was just a kid, and I’ve been known for wearing makeup — usually too much — for years.”

The star, who has previously said she often wears a full face of makeup to bed, said she drew on her own experience to drive the new products.
“Every time I put on makeup, I’ll find certain things I want to put in the line,” she says. “A great, thicker gloss, or a pearly gloss, or something that I’ve used and will find in an old drawer I remember loving. Lord knows, nobody wears more makeup than me, so I know all the little things I want.”
The lipsticks, priced at US$20, will be available directly from the Dolly Beauty website from August 22. The four products are said to be just the start of the Dolly Beauty line, with complexion, eye and lip makeup in the pipeline.
The singer also shared she is creating a Broadway musical about her life. Unsurprisingly the star, who has said she ‘hasn’t got time to be old,’ has also just launched Dolly Wines, starting with a ‘California Chardonnay 2023’, created in collaboration with Parton Family Cellars and Accolade Wines.
